As unusual as the Art Form itself, is the Artists chosen name of M E R L I N A.
The name came about for two reasons special to us.
The feeling of magic we often experience while in the forests, and when working with the trees in our studio.

Also, the feminine energy we feel from the ‘stars’ of the art form - the trees themselves, along with the major contribution of the female half of the life partner/Artist Team of Robin and Steve.

We are constantly aware that it’s the combination of contributions from each of the three members of our Artist Team, that give the sculptures the energy they possess.
Robin - for her color mastery of organic dyes
Steve - for his design and developed skills in wood artistry
And Ultimately…..
The Trees - which, by their very nature, guide us to the end result of their transformation
